Quest Description
The Moth Priest Dexion realized that two further Elder Scrolls are required to fully understand the prophecy. One of them foretells the interaction between the dragons and the history of Nirn and must also be found during the TES V main quest "Elder Knowledge". If this was already accomplished in the past and the Elder Scroll is still in possession, this quest is omitted entirely. Otherwise, there are two ways how this quest continues:
Find the location of the Elder Scroll (Dragon)
This objective is activated if the required Elder Scroll is not yet in possession. The advice is given to inquire at the College of Winterhold. If not yet enrolled there, entry is denied and an admission test must be completed first. Afterwards, one must have been referred at least to Mirabelle Ervine to enter the Hall of the Elements and the Arcanaeum.
Urag doubts that one knows what is being asked for.
In the Arcanaeum, the librarian Urag gro-Shub must be approached to ask him about Elder Scrolls. Urag explains that there are only rumors and speculations about them. However, he picks out two books that touch upon the topic and places them on the table. After reading "Effects of the Elder Scrolls", the Daedric quest "Discerning the Transmundane" starts. Speaking to Urag about the incomprehensible book, he says that the author, Septimus Signus, has retreated into the ice fields. This provides a lead on where to continue the search, and the quest ends.
It will be necessary to complete most of the now active Daedric quest, because only during this quest can the Elder Scroll be acquired.
Buy back the Elder Scroll (Dragon) from Urag gro-Shub
This objective is activated if the Elder Scroll was already possessed once and sold to Urag gro-Shub in the College. For the buy-back, he now demands double the price (unless one is the Arch-Mage), and with the Elder Scroll in hand, this quest ends. There is no direct follow-up quest.
If the Elder Scroll (Blood) is not yet in possession, the active quest "Chasing Echoes" must now be pursued.
If both Elder Scrolls have been obtained, the active quest "Seeking Disclosure" must be brought to an end.
Tips & Notes
For the buy-back of the Elder Scroll, Urag charges the Arch-Mage the nominal price of 2000 gold pieces. Otherwise, he demands 4000. If one is eloquent, Urag can be haggled down to 3000.
