Quest Description
During the reading of Serana's Elder Scroll, the Moth Priest Dexion realized that two further Elder Scrolls are required to uncover the secret of the Tyranny of the Sun and the power of Auriel's Bow. For this purpose, two long, independent subquests start, in which the Elder Scrolls are acquired. This quest frames the subquests and continues with their results.
Find the Elder Scroll (Dragon)
This is the Elder Scroll that foretells the interaction between the dragons and the history of Nirn. It is the same one that must also be found during the main quest "Elder Knowledge". If this has already been accomplished, this objective is completed immediately.
If not, the active quest "Scroll Scouting" must be completed.
Find the Elder Scroll (Blood)
This Elder Scroll hints at the challenge of the gods by the blood of mortals. To find it, the quest "Chasing Echoes" has been started, which should now be pursued.
Bring both Elder Scrolls to Dexion
This objective is activated when both Elder Scrolls (Dragon + Blood) are in possession. To fully decipher the Tyranny of the Sun and locate Auriel's Bow, both scrolls must be brought to Dexion Evicus in Fort Dawnguard or Castle Volkihar.
Blindness as a result of missing preparation.
Returning with both scrolls, a blindfold is noticed on the Moth Priest. He explains that he was in such a hurry to read the first scroll that he neglected the necessary preparations. It was a mistake and blindness is the result. He regrets that he can no longer be of assistance, but suggests another way to read the scrolls. The Ancestor Moth ritual must be performed within the Ancestor Glade in the Pine Forest. Then he explains the details of the ritual and hands over the Elder Scroll (Sun).
