| In a small level called "Boss Arena", all the bosses from Descent, Descent II, and Vertigo faced off against each other in sequence. These one-on-one duels were designed to showcase their combat strength, tactics, and weapon efficiency. They entered the ring with all their standard attributes originally assigned by Parallax. The only characteristic they were stripped of was their "Boss" status — meaning that their individual defeat would not trigger the end of the level. Each participant had to fight 40 battles against every other rival: 20 matches on "Trainee" and 20 matches on "Insane". The final results of these duels can be viewed in the tables below. |

Interestingly, the combat strengths of the various robots scale differently across the different difficulty settings. For example, the Water Boss wins all of its matches against the Red Fatty Boss on Trainee, whereas it loses most of them on Insane. |

| Every boss possesses its own unique strengths. However, Boss 1, the Ice Boss, and Vertigo Boss 2 stand out significantly from the rest of the field.
The primary strength of Boss 1 lies in the sheer frequency with which it fires its Smart Missiles. Especially on the Trainee difficulty, the straightforward, brute force of this powerhouse becomes evident, as it is capable of launching two Smart Missiles at its opponent every three seconds. The weapons utilized by the Ice Boss are quite deceptive. While the white Omega orbs are not the most dangerous weapon by themselves, being blinded by a Flash Missile leaves opponents temporarily incapacitated. Particularly on Insane, the Ice Boss has no trouble dealing with its victims, blinding them up to two times per second. Vertigo Boss 2 is more of a defensive robot, but once it locks onto a target, the opponent is practically doomed. In the heat of battle, it can fire an Earthshaker Missile every two seconds, supplemented by additional Mega Missiles. |
